Dryden Smallmouth Bass Fishing

Rugby Lake Lodge is located an hour's drive north of Dryden and about 1.5 hours from Vermilion Bay, Ontario. Rugby Lake is one of the most northern lakes where you will find Smallmouth Bass. They showed up in the lake around 1990 and their numbers grew like wildfire. Today guests can expect to catch on average around 30 per day in the 1 to 3 pound range. There are lots of 4 and 5 pounders caught and a few times a year a 6-pounder gets caught. The Smallmouth Bass fishing gets better every year because the lake was made for smallmouth. There is an abundance or rocky shoreline, sand bars and feeder streams making this an awesome fishing lake. Ruby Lake Lodge is a small family-owned fishing camp with comfortable lakefront housekeeping accommodations. They also have fantastic fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch and Crappie with boat caches on remote lakes including a Lake Trout lake.

Merkel's Camp is located between Dryden and Dinorwic Ontario and on the north shore of Wabigoon Lake with close access to Dinorwic Lake. Both of these lakes are considered among the best Smallmouth Bass fishing lakes in Ontario. Smallmouth Bass can be caught in the hundreds between 1 and 4 pounds. Monster trophy Smallmouth Bass in the 5 and 6-pound class get caught by guests almost every day and occasionally 7-pounders get caught. They have 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom lakeside housekeeping cottages on Wabigoon Lake as well as a drive-to outpost camp on Little Basket Lake.

Indian Point Camp is located on the shores of beautiful and productive Wabigoon Lake in Northwestern Ontario. Wabigoon Lake is considered one of the top fishing destinations in Ontario due to the seemingly inexhaustible bounty of trophy Smallmouth Bass. Our guests not only catch lots of smallmouth Bass; many guests catch Smallmouth Bass far larger than they ever expected and in good numbers. Unbelievable populations of hard-fighting Smallmouth Bass guard the rocky islands and shoals and can be caught consistently in the 1 to 6-pound range.

Bonny Bay Camp is located on the famous Wabigoon Lake, which is well known all over North America for it's monster size Smallmouth Bass. Not only do the Sallmouth Bass get big, there are tons of them. You can find schools of smaller Smallmouth Bass and catch a bass every cast for hours. Pine Sunset Lodge is located near the village of Dinorwic, between Dryden and Ignace, Ontario, and on famous Dinorwic Lake. They have outstanding fishing for Smallmouth Bass. Dinorwic Lake is attached to Wabigoon Lake via the Wabigoon River. Smallmouth Bass are common in the 2 to 5-pound range but Smallmouth Bass get as big as 7 pounds. The have boat caches on wilderness lakes for more excellent Smallmouth Bass fishing. They have clean housekeeping cottages, which range in size to accommodate groups of 2 to 16 people. They also have a campgrounds for both RVs and tents.

Smallmouth Bass in the lake are common in the 14 to 17-inch range but there are many bigger bass caught by guests each week. If targeting Smallmouth you should catch quite a few in the 3 to 5-pound range and once in a while a bass over 6 pounds gets caught. John will make sure you have the right baits for Canyon Lake and he will set you up with maps to the hottest bass spots on the lake. They have super nice lakefront housekeeping pine cottages with a beautiful main lodge for card playing or watching the big game on satellite TV. Their rates are very reasonable.

Vermilion Bay Lodge is located on big and beautiful Eagle Lake in Northwestern Ontario Canada. This is a big lake and known for big fish and the Smallmouth Bass fishery is no exception. This lake is stuffed with gigantic Smallmouth Bass. It's a deep rocky lake and exhibits the typical Canadian Shield rocky structure that is indicative of the best Smallmouth Bass lakes. 2 and 3 pound bass are extremely common and can be caught in great numbers. Their guests who target bass are sure to catch a few in the 4 and 5 pound range. Every year a few lucky guests catch real trophies in the 6 and 7-poud range. Vermilion Bay Lodge is a housekeeping camp with really nice lakefront cottages. They also have great fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Trout and Musky.

Pine Cliff Lodge is located between Sioux Lookout and Dryden, Ontario and on Sandybeach Lake, which is also known as Big Sand Lake. Pine Cliff Lodge offers the very best Smallmouth Bass Fishing in Ontario. Smallmouth Bass are extremely common with many trophy Smallmouth Bass caught every day. Each week a 19 to 22-inch Smallmouth is caught and released. They have clean and comfortable cottages and offer both housekeeping and American Plan. Anishinabi Lodge is a fly-in fishing lodge north of Vermilion Bay and west of Ear Falls. The main lodge is on an island at the south end of Anishinabi Lake and they have two remote outpost camps at the north end of the lake. Smallmouth Bass are actually an invasive species in the arctic watershed and they made their way up the river into Anishinabi Lake around the year 2000. Since then their numbers have been doubling every year and now Smallmouth Bass in the 20-inch range are common. They also have fantastic fishing for Lake Trout, Walleye & Northern Pike.
